Further perceived outrages cause leading local racists Billy Joe Blount (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nacogdochesfilmfestival.com\/michael-kruger.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Michael Kruger<\/a>) and Toad (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/jeff-tyler-814430170\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jeff Tyler<\/a>) to seek restitution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<br>\n\n\n\n<p>With Sam deviating from Jesse&#8217;s usual routine to try and prevent the death of his employer Miz Melanie Trafford (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.somewhereintime.tv\/news_susanfrench.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Susan French<\/a>), his granddaughter Nell (<a href=\"https:\/\/english-voice-over.fandom.com\/wiki\/Kimberly_Bailey\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kimberly Bailey<\/a>) falls victim to a racist attack, leading Sam to take her to a &#8216;whites only&#8217; hospital, where Miz Melanie ensures she is treated. Sam, however, is arrested by Sheriff Blount (<a href=\"https:\/\/twinpeaks.fandom.com\/wiki\/Royce_D._Applegate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Royce D. Applegate<\/a>) for a breach of segregation laws, putting his efforts to protect Melanie in jeapordy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<br>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The Color of Truth<\/em> was directed by <a href=\"https:\/\/memory-alpha.fandom.com\/wiki\/Mike_Vejar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Michael Vejar<\/a>, his only episode for the show.
