Rushed to stage by Dolores (<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Myra_Turley\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Myra Turley<\/a>) and Charlie (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.broadwayworld.com\/los-angeles\/article\/Tony-Award-Winner-Paul-Sand-To-Workshop-THE-PILOT-WHO-CRASHED-THE-PARTY-At-The-Odyssey-Theatre-20220405\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paul Sand<\/a>), Sam is spared an embarrassing debut by the last minute arrival of leading man John O&#8217;Malley (<a href=\"https:\/\/masterworksbroadway.com\/artist\/john-cullum\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">John Cullum<\/a>). He then spends some awkward time with co-stars Manny (<a href=\"https:\/\/disney.fandom.com\/wiki\/Ernie_Sabella\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ernie Sabella<\/a>) and Michelle (<a href=\"https:\/\/janineturner.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Janine Turner<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<br>\n\n\n\n<p>Things change when Sam spots Nicole (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/michele.pawk\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Michele Pawk<\/a>), his teenage piano teacher for whom he&#8217;s carried a flame since he was 15. Unable to get his head around the fact that Nicole is attracted to Ray, not him, Sam pursues a relationship while a jealous Michelle tries to disrupt his plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<br>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Catch a Falling Star<\/em> was directed by Donald P. Bellisario, his only directing credit for the show.
