Working in a club, he encounters a young deaf waitress called Diana (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/rhondeemberiault\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Rhondee Beriault\">Rhondee Beriault<\/a>) who he learns is being pushed into stripping and ultimately prostitution by club owners Mario (<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Louis_Mustillo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Louis Mustillo<\/a>) and Valerie (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.looper.com\/1207664\/what-has-heidi-swedberg-been-doing-since-playing-susan-on-seinfeld\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Heidi Swedberg<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<br>\n\n\n\n<p>Learning of open auditions to a dance school run by Joanna Chapman (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.debbieallendanceacademy.com\/debbie-allen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Debbie Allen<\/a>), Sam tries to guide Diana along a less damaging path, but is met with resistance &#8211; not least because of his clumsy approach to the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<br>\n\n\n\n<p>Private Dancer was directed by Debbie Allen, the first of her two episodes for the series.
